Transfer Station

Fee Schedule Change for Residents and Non-Residents

Effective October 1,2023

Updated February 16, 2022
The Transfer Station is now accepting bulk items from Newton residents and non-residents from Kingston, East Kingston & S. Hampton. Acceptable forms of payment for fees are checks or exact amount of cash. No coins will be accepted. Credit Cards are now being accepted.  Please note that a user fee is charged by the credit card company.

Non-residential cardboard is still not being accepted.

It is our goal to provide the residents with a safe, clean, and friendly trash and recycle center. Only Newton residents can deposit household trash and brush and you MUST have a resident sticker. Stickers are available at the Town Clerks office located at Town Hall and you must show proof of residency. Proof of residency is either your original purchase and sales agreement or a current Newton vehicle registration. Summer residents may receive a temporary sticker at the Selectmen's Office.

East Kingston, Kingston and South Hampton residents may use the Newton Transfer Station for the drop off of bulk items on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12pm-6:45pm; Saturdays from 8am-4:45pm and Sunday from 9am to 3:45pm.

FREEZERS, REFRIGERATORS AND AIR CONDITIONERS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED DURING THE MONTHS OF APRIL THROUGH END OF OCTOBER OR THE FIRST SNOWSTORM.
